A Giveaway sponsored by Mixed Media Place

Hello :) Happy Wednesday to you. Today marks the beginning of 'Deireadh Fomhair' (Irish for October), and November in Irish is Samhain, which is also the name for 'Hallowe'en' in Irish. It is believed that the old Irish ritual Samhain (October 31st) is where celebrating Hallowe'en originated. This is the one night that the spirits had easier access to this world, hence why all the scary customs and rituals (for example "Trick or Treat") began, as all the spirits were crossing between the afterlife and this life and able to trick and scare people!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our September challenge. On Friday our October/Deireadh Fomhair challenge will be revealed along with the top 3. But for October, Hallowe'en month, we have a wonderful 'TREAT'. It's a giveaway! Woohoo!!

Ania over at Mixed Media Place has very kindly sponsored the beautifully, inspiring kit "Early Fall". This kit is sold out, so it is the last chance to acquire it!

This month we would like to welcome our new DT members to Craft for the Craic.

My name is Yvonne, I’m originally from Co Dublin, but have lived in Co Wicklow for the past 18 years.  I am married with 2 lovely boys,
and I’ve been card making for the past 10 years, I was a florist for nearly 25 years. and bring this to my card making, to add extra little touches.
As a child I was very crafty, and had my own craft shop in the Cotswolds for 3 years in the early 90s
everything I sold I made myself, or hand finished it. I got into card making, when I learned Quilling and Decoupage at the local WI group, and sold very simple card in my shop.
I took up the hobby up again 10 years ago, as I was a stay at home Mum, and was looking for something to do.
The greatest pleasure I get from my hobby is sharing something new, with my craft group in Kilcoole.
it’s a passion, and some would say and addiction, it can be a very expensive hobby, so I try to teach, simple but pretty cards, and nearly always come up with a new fold or design for each class. And I get great inspiration for other crafty blogs, so hope you enjoy the cards I share. You can find me at Card Art Kilcoole, and please get in touch if you need any help.

My name is Joanna. I was born and raised in Poland but 8 years I have moved to Ireland.
I have a  husband Luke and crazy cat Phoebe.
I have startedmy crafts with decoupage around 10 years ago; I tried cross-stitching, felting, iris folding.
I love all types of crafts, now mostly card making. It's my hobby and takes all my free time.
I'm also addicted of buying new supplies :) My craft room is getting bigger and bigger.
