May's Mid Month Inspiration

Hello! Hope this Friday morning finds you well, and welcome back to our mid month inspiration! This month our theme is "A step back in time" influenced by our historic year. This theme can be interpreted anyway you choose (vintage, historic etc etc)

This month our challenge is influenced by our centenary celebrations of the 1916 Rising.
The Rising was launched by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland and establish an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was heavily engaged in World War I. It was the most significant uprising in Ireland since the rebellion of 1798, and the first armed action of the Irish revolutionary period. (Thanks to Wikipedia!)

Today we have beautiful mid month inspiration from Sucheta

Luck of the Irish! Happy St. Patrick's Day :)

Hello! Wow, it’s March already! We are having little glimpses of Spring, here in Ireland, and it is so nice to see all the Spring flowers blooming. It gives such a glimmer of hope for a lovely summer ahead.
This year, March is a busy month - this Sunday is Mother's Day, so wishing all Mammy's out there, a lovely Mothering Sunday!! In the middle of March, we celebrate our Patron Saint's feast day - St. Patrick. Wherever you are, I hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day (or Paddy's Day, but *NOT* Patty's Day ;)  ) In the words of my kiddies favourite film (Flight of the Doves)
"You don't have to be Irish to be Irish"!!
And then near the end of March it's Easter. Phew, busy month!

Thank you for all the beautiful February entries. We really enjoyed looking at everything that makes YOU smile. Our DT chose
1st - 65 Angelique
2nd - 58 Paperesse
3rd - 39 Sweet Kobylkin

St. Parick is the patron saint of Ireland, on we celebrate this day on March 17th. Inspired by this day, our theme for March is “The Luck of the Irish”. You can interpret this theme any way you wish!

We look forward to seeing your wonderful entries. Please note some blogs we are unable to comment on, as we don't have a subscription/membership.
